Ken Calvert Obituary-Death News; Longtime Detroit Radio DJ, Ken Calvert Passes Away
Ken Calvert, who had been a DJ for Detroit Radio for many years and served as the public address announcer for the Detroit Pistons during the Bad Boys era, went yesterday at the age of 72.
Calvert was the public address announcer for the Detroit Pistons for a span of sixteen years during the time period known as the Bad Boys era.
For the entirety of his forty-five years of service, he was employed by a number of radio stations located inside the city of Detroit.
At this moment in time, it is no longer possible to determine the specific reason for his passing. His birth and upbringing took place in the city of Detroit, and he received his high school education from Brother Rice High School, from which he graduated.
The following year, he resumed his education at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, after completing his studies at Oakland Community College.
The day that Calvert decided to leave from his position at WCSX was December 20, 2013, which was exactly ten years before he took his last breath. Additionally, he was the host of a podcast that underwent the name “The Ken Calvert Show.”
